HMPE plastic
HMPE stands for High Molecular Polyethylene. BKB Precision can process different grades of this type of plastic, such as HMPE500 and HMPE1000. We would be happy to advise you on the most suitable grade of HMPE for your application and then we can process it to perfection.
Properties of HMPE plastic
The molecular density of HMPE (High Molecular Polyethylene) determines the properties of the material. HMPE is often processed for components used in the transport sector, but the food and machine construction industries also have uses for it.
Properties: HPME is moisture repellent and has good abrasion and impact resistance. That said, this does require certain types of HMPE. BKB Precision can process different grades of HMPE, such as HMPE500 and HMPE1000, and there is also HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) which has a molecular density lower than 500. This material is often used when welding work is also necessary.
