2018 | BKB looks back at W3 Wetzlar: interesting meetings and demand for plastic products
BKB Precision is satisfied about its participation in the W3 Fair which took place February 22 and 23 in Germany. For the third time, BKB has shown its expertise and competences of plastics machining to more than 3000 visitors. Again, this two-day fair took place in the Rittal Arena.
In addition to the fair, there are also numerous lectures about new developments in the field of the optical, electronic and mechatronic industry. Start-ups, recruitment and design-to-business were key themes. The visitors had a varied background and different interests.
Interesting target group with challenging requests
Also this year we have had good meetings. Striking this year was the interest in PEEK, the accuracy and complexity of the plastics machining that we can realize and the knowledge we have in the field of plastics.
"The variety of plastic products that were displayed in the showcase often drew the attention of the visitors. Aside from the different plastics that we showed, such as PEEK, POM, PMMA, Epoxy and Torlon etc, good contacts were built that will be followed up in the near future. Of course, these requests often are challenging. We love these kind of requests because we can position ourselves even further on the optical market. Because there is still a lot of potential for us, certainly if one will appreciate plastic as a material."
